How to install Trend Micro for Mac bought from Best Buy

Your device must meet the minimum system requirements to run the program successfully.

1. Download the installer here.
   • If your macOS version is still in HIGH SIERRA (10.13), download this installer.
   • If your macOS version is still in SIERRA (10.12), download this installer.
2. Open the installer, and then click Install Trend Micro Antivirus.
3. Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
4. Fill out the account information to activate your protection.

Here are some answers you might be looking for:

There is no installer available for my macOS version.

Trend Micro Antivirus can no longer be installed on El Capitan (10.11) and below.

It says “Incompatible Sofware Found”.

Remove the conflicting software. Having more than one antivirus program running at the same time can slow down your Mac and be more prone to threats.

Helper Tool is required.

Install the Helper Tool so Trend Micro can protect you properly.

It says “System Extensions Blocked”.

Allow Trend Micro Network Extension to provide complete protection for your Mac.
