The Self-Defense component prevents Kaspersky Internet Security from being blocked or removed by other applications. Self-Defense is enabled by default, but it may sometimes be necessary to disable it in order to troubleshoot issues with Kaspersky Internet Security.

Disabling Self-Defense prevents some features of Kaspersky Internet Security from working properly and lowers the overall level of system protection.

To enable or disable Self-Defense:

  1. In the main window of Kaspersky Internet Security, click The Settings icon in the Kaspersky Internet Security 19 window.
