The beta versions of Kaspersky applications will have Microsoft Application Verifier (AppVf) and Microsoft Driver Verifier (DrvVf) debugging tools included by default.
These tools are designed to identify and tackle functionality problems in beta version applications.
Enabling debugging tools will turn on event logging on the PC. This in turn may lead to reduction in performance and operating system or application slowdown. Launching Microsoft Driver Verifier may also cause operating system failures. To learn more about the limitations when working with Microsoft Driver Verifier, see this article on Microsoft website.
To learn how to enable or disable the debugging tools, see instructions below.
How to enable or disable debugging tools
- In the top-left corner of the application main window, click Beta. To learn how to open the main window, see this article.
- Select action:
- To turn on the debugging tools, click Enable.
- To turn off the debugging tools, click Disable.
- Click Continue.
- You will need to restart the PC for the changes to take effect. You can restart directly from the application interface or postpone the restart. Select action:
- To restart immediately, click Restart.
- To postpone the restart, click Later.
The debugging tools will be enabled or disabled when the PC restarts.
