This article describes how to log in to the G DATA Administrator after updating to 14.2.0.472.

Cause:
This can occur due to the G DATA Administrator being open during the installation of the update.
Another cause can be unexpected database entries during the conversion of the database.

Solution:
Step 1: Restart the computer with the G DATA ManagementServer.

Step 2: Replace the registry entry “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Gdmms\ImagePatch” with “C:\Program Files (x86)\G Data\G DATA AntiVirus ManagementServer\GData.Business.Server.App.exe”.
Now start the service “G DATA ManagementServer”.

Step 3:

Download the following SQL script: share.gdata.de/index.php/s/XjRYYHJTWzZJJSS

After that, the database name needs to be changed in the downloaded script.
You can pick the name from the directory “C:\Program Files (x86)\G Data\G DATA AntiVirus ManagementServer” by using “GData.Business.Server.Config.exe”.
Replace “database name” by the shown name.

Step 4: Open prompt (cmd.exe) with administrator rights on the SQL server. Execute the following order:
sqlcmd -S <computername>\<instancename> -i C:\convert.sql
Examples:
sqlcmd -S server\GDATASQLSRV2K8 -I -i C:\convert.sql
sqlcmd -S server\GDATA2014 -I -i C:\convert.sql

Step 5: Restart the “G DATA ManagementServer” service.
