How does license conversion work?

If you have an ESET-issued Username and Password for activation, you need to use myESET to convert your existing Username and Password to a License Key. Converting your credentials will not affect your existing ESET products—both your Username/Password and License Key will remain valid.

• If I convert my Username and Password to a License Key, do I need to update all my ESET products?

  No, your Username and Password will continue to function as normal in ESET products that use these credentials.

• Do I need to convert my Username and Password into a different License Key for each ESET product that I use?

  No. After you receive your License Key, it can be used for all your ESET home products.

• Do I need to activate my ESET product again after upgrading from an older version?

  No. However, we recommend that you get your License Key now because you may need it in the future.

• How can I use my License Key to activate my ESET product?

  After a successful installation, you will be prompted to activate your product with your License key. Activate my ESET Windows home product using my Username, Password or License Key.
