The license for Kaspersky Small Office Security includes the premium version of Kaspersky Internet Security for Android. Kaspersky Internet Security for Android is a mobile app for protecting your mobile devices from virus attacks, online fraud and data loss. The following premium protection features are available as part of Kaspersky Internet Security for Android:

  • Scan. Provides manual protection against viruses and other malware.
  • Real-Time Protection. Provides automatic protection against viruses and other malware.
  • Call Filter. Blocks unwanted calls.
  • Anti-Theft. Protects the data on your device should it be lost or stolen.
  • App Lock. Allows you to set a secret code, graphic key or fingerprint for accessing applications.
  • Internet Protection. Provides protection against malicious websites.
When the license for Kaspersky Small Office Security expires, Kaspersky Internet Security for Android will automatically switch to the free version on all linked devices. In the free version, only Scan, Call Filter and Anti-Theft are available.
 

How to install Kaspersky Internet Security for Android

The application is installed in the device’s main memory only.

Before installing:

  • Check that your device is connected to the Internet. For example, try opening www.kaspersky.com.
  • Make sure that your device is linked to your Google account. To learn how to create a Google account and link your device to it, see Google’s technical support website.

To install Kaspersky Internet Security 19 for Android:

  1. Open the app page or search for Kaspersky Mobile Antivirus in Play Store.
  2. Tap Install.
  3. Open the application.
  4. Tap Next.
  5. Allow access to the device data and calls management by tapping Allow.
  6. Read through the Kaspersky Lab End User License Agreement, the Privacy Policy for products and services, and the Kaspersky Security Network Statement carefully. Tap Next if you agree to the terms.
The free version of Kaspersky Internet Security for Android will be installed. Activate the premium version using one of the methods below.
 

How to activate the premium version of Kaspersky Internet Security for Android through the Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console

  1. Tap I have a license. If you were using a free version of Kaspersky Internet Security for Android, on the main screen of the app tap Real-Time Protection → I have a license.
  2. Tap Sign in to My Kaspersky.
  3. Enter the email address and a password for the Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console. You can request it from the system administrator in your company.
  4. Tap Sign In.
  5. Select the license to use for activation and tap OK.
  6. Tap Scan.
The premium version of the app will be activated.
 

How to activate Kaspersky Internet Security for Android using the activation code for Kaspersky Small Office Security

  1. Tap I have a license. If you were using a free version of Kaspersky Internet Security for Android, on the main screen of the app tap Real-Time Protection → I have a license.
  2. Tap Enter activation code.
  3. Ask the system administrator to enter the activation code for Kaspersky Small Office Security manually.
  4. Tap Next → OK.
  5. Tap Scan.
The premium version of the app will be activated.
 

How to connect a device to the Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console

If you have activated Kaspersky Internet Security for Android through Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console, the device will be connected to the account automatically.

If you have entered the activation code manually, we recommend that you connect the device to Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console so that your system administrator is able to manage the security settings remotely. How to connect a mobile device to Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console:

  1. Check if your company has an account in the Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console. For instructions on how to create an account, see this article.
  2. In the app, tap Device is protected.
  3. Tap the notification To manage your device remotely, connect to My Kaspersky.
  4. Tap Connect to My Kaspersky.
  5. Enter the email address and a password for the Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console. You can request it from the system administrator in your company.
  6. Tap Sign in.

The mobile device will be connected to the Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console account and the system administrator will be able to manage the features of the app remotely.

How to scan files in Kaspersky Internet Security for Android

Using the Scan component of Kaspersky Internet Security for Android, you can scan your mobile device for malware and remove it. You can run a scan manually or set it to run automatically at scheduled times

How to run a scan manually

  1. In the main app window, tap Scan and select a scan scope.
    • Quick scan. Scans only the apps installed on the device. We recommend running a quick scan whenever you install a new app.
    • Full scan. Scans the entire device and its memory card. We recommended running a full scan at least once a week to keep your personal data secure.
    • Folder scan. Scans a specific file or folder located in either the device’s internal storage or on a memory card.
  2. If you selected Folder scan, find the file or folder you wish to scan and tap the scan button to the right of it.
  3. In the main window of the app you can monitor the scan’s progress. To stop the scan early, tap Stop scan.
  4. Once the scan is complete, a window will appear with the results. Tap OK.

Files have been scanned.

How to set a scan schedule

  1. In the main window of Kaspersky Internet Security for Android, tap Real-Time Protection.
  2. Tap Schedule and select how frequently the app should scan your device.
    • Weekly. The scan will run automatically once a week on the day and time you specify.
    • Daily. The scan will run automatically once a day at the time you specify.
    • Turned off. Automatic scan tasks are not performed.
    • After update. The scan will run automatically after the anti-virus databases are updated. This option is selected by default.
  3. To specify the day to run the scan, tap Start day and select a day. This option is only available for Weekly scan.
  4. To specify the time to run the scan, tap Start time and set the time. This option is only available for weekly and daily scans.
The schedule has been configured and set.
