How to create an exclusion rule in Kaspersky Small Office Security 6

To configure exclusions in Kaspersky Small Office Security:

1. Click the settings icon in the lower-left corner of the Kaspersky Small Office Security main window. To learn how to open the main application window, see this article.
2. Go to Additional → Threats and Exclusions.
3. In the Exclusions section, click Manage exclusions.
4. Click Add in the bottom-right corner.
5. Add exclusions in several ways:
   • Click Browse and select the folder or file you want to exclude from scanning. Click Select.
   • In the File or folder field, enter the full name or name mask of the file or folder manually.
   • In the Object field, enter the full name or name mask of the type of threat you want to exclude, based on the Kaspersky Lab classification tree.
   • Fill in the File or folder and Object fields at the same time. The application will not scan for the threat you have specified in that particular file or folder.
6. Clear the checkboxes besides the protection components you do not want the exclusion to apply to.
7. Add a comment if necessary.
8. Select the Active status.
9. Click Add.

Exclusion rules will be added in Kaspersky Small Office Security based on the settings you have chosen.

To configure exclusions for trusted applications in Kaspersky Small Office Security:

1. Click the settings icon in the lower-left corner of the Kaspersky Small Office Security main window. To learn how to open the main application window, see this article.
2. Go to Additional → Threats and Exclusions.
3. In the Exclusions section, click Specify trusted applications.
4. Click Add in the bottom-right corner.
5. Select the application you want to exclude from scanning and click Next.
6. Select the checkboxes besides the actions you want the application to take.
7. Select the Active status.
8. Click Add.

Exclusion rules for trusted applications will be added in Kaspersky Small Office Security based on the settings you have chosen.

To configure exclusions for URLs in Kaspersky Small Office Security:

1. Click the settings icon in the lower-left corner of the Kaspersky Small Office Security main window. To learn how to open the main application window, see this article.
2. Go to Protection → Web Anti-Virus.
3. Click Advanced Settings.
4. Select the Check URLs checkbox.
5. You can add exclusions in several ways:
   • Select On all websites except those specified. Click Manage exclusions → Add. Enter the web address mask and click OK.
   • Select On specified websites only. Click Configure checked websites → Add. Enter the web address mask and click OK.
6. Click Configure trusted URLs and click Add. Enter the web address mask and click OK.
7. We recommend selecting all the checkboxes in the Additional section.

Exclusion rules for URLs will be added in Kaspersky Small Office Security based on the settings you have chosen.
