To exclude items, such as IP addresses, files, folders, or registry keys, from scanning and real-time protection for your Managed Clients, add the items to the Management Console’s Ignore List. You can exclude items using one of the following methods.
- Edit a Policy.
- Add from Client module.
- Add from Security logs.
Edit a Policy
- Log in to the Malwarebytes Management Console as an administrator.
- Click Policy.
- Click on a policy, then click Edit.
- Click one of the following tabs to add the exclusions:
- For Anti-Malware, select Ignore List.
- For Anti-Exploit, select Anti-Exploit Exclusion List.
- For Anti-Ransomware, select Anti-Ransomware.
- Enter trusted filenames, directories, registry keys, IP addresses, or MD5 hash values as instructed on each tab to the text field you wish Malwarebytes to ignore.
- Click OK to save changes.
Add from Client module
When an item is excluded from the Client module, its added to the same policy the client is currently assigned to.
- Log in to the Malwarebytes Management Console as an administrator.
- Click Client.
- Click the client that detected the item you want to exclude > click Security Logs tab.
- Right-click the detected item, then select one of the following options to add the detection to the exclusions list:
- For Anti-Malware, select Add to Anti-Malware Ignore List.
- For Anti-Exploit, select Add to Anti-Exploit Exclusions List.
- For Anti-Ransomware, select Add to Anti-Ransomware Exclusions List.
Add from Security logs
- Log in to the Malwarebytes Management Console as an administrator.
- Click Client > Threat View.
- Right-click the detection you wish to exclude.
- Click Exclude this Object to allow the item in a policy on the original machine that detected it or, click Exclude this object for All Clients to allow the item on all policies.
