Endpoint didn’t start correctly in Malwarebytes Endpoint Detection and Response

Malwarebytes Endpoint Detection and Response endpoint is displaying the needs attention indicator . Click the indicator to see the message. If you receive the following error message:

“The Malwarebytes Endpoint Detection and Response plugin on this endpoint didn’t start correctly. This needs your immediate attention, as files cannot be cleaned and no events can be logged.”

Then the Malwarebytes Endpoint Agent did not properly startup or the local database is corrupted.

To resolve this issue, do the following:

1. Delete the effected endpoints from your Nebula console. For more information, see Delete endpoints in Malwarebytes Nebula platform.
2. Install the agent on those same endpoints. For more information, see:
   • Add Windows endpoints in Malwarebytes Nebula
   • Add Mac endpoints in Malwarebytes Nebula

If you are unable to uninstall the Endpoint Agent, submit a support ticket for assistance.
