Malwarebytes Nebula consists of a few components working together to protect your endpoints. This article explains each component.
- The Malwarebytes Console provides central endpoint management of endpoints through a web-based user interface. Use the console to configure policies, view quarantined items, and stay informed of your network status. The Malwarebytes Console provides downloadable endpoint installers and the Malwarebytes Discovery and Deployment Tool to distribute Malwarebytes protection to your endpoints.
- An endpoint is a centrally managed device running Malwarebytes software. Malwarebytes Endpoint Agents are installed on each endpoint to protect it and communicate with the console.
- The Malwarebytes Endpoint Agent is software on the endpoint that configures the client. It handles communication with the Malwarebytes Nebula console, installs and updates plugins, applies policy changes, and manages on-demand and scheduled tasks. Agents are deployed via downloadable installer or a third-party deployment tool.
- Malwarebytes plugins are the endpoint software components that perform tasks, run scans, and protect your device. When a policy uses product-specific features—such as Malwarebytes Endpoint Detection and Response—the plugin for that product is automatically installed by the Endpoint Agent.
