Before you can initiate a client push install from the Malwarebytes Management Console, your server and endpoints must meet the requirements specified below. To see additional requirements, refer to the Malwarebytes Management Console Administrator Guide, Before You Begin section.

Services:

  • .NET Framework 4
  • Windows Installer 4.0 or newer
Services:

  • .NET Framework 3.5
  • Windows Installer 4.0 or newer
  • File and Printer sharing enabled
  • NetBIOS enabled
  • Network Discovery enabled
Open Ports (TCP):

  • 53: Domain Name Services (DNS) lookups
  • 137: NetBIOS Name Resolution
  • 139: NetBIOS Session Service
  • 389: Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)
  • 443: Hypertext Transfer Protocol over TLS/SSL (HTTPS)
    Default Management Server port
  • 18457: Default client communication port
Open Ports (TCP):

  • 135: Remotely manage services to file transfers to or from server
  • 137: NetBIOS Name Resolution
  • 445: Active Directory file transfers to and from server
    Used for install, uninstall, and simulations
  • 18457: Default client communication port

Note: For Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 devices, you need to apply the Microsoft 2019-09 Security Update. For more information, see Windows 2019-09 Security Update for Windows devices running Malwarebytes business products.
