Inform

  • Added Asset Scan capability (early access feature) to support detailed device information output (all of Inform plus additional categories) to JSON and other future functionality.
  • Added early access to Asset Scan to JSON output from Command Line (MBTS.exe or MBTSLauncher.exe):
    • /scan:asset /LogFile:”PATH_TO_FILE” – Performs a silent Asset Scan and outputs the results in JSON format to the file specified.
    • If /LogFile is not specified, then the file is saved to %UserProfile%\Desktop\AssetScan_%DATE&TIME%.json

  • Updated Additional Protection to support detecting and reporting additional info when modern Malwarebytes products are installed.
  • Updated “Install Malwarebytes” link to use Malwarebytes 4.x (Inform > Security > Additional Protection)
  • Updated the Operating System tile to report if Windows 10 Version 1909 (18363.535 or higher) is not installed on a Windows 10 device (Inform > System > Operating System)

MBTS.exe and MBTSLauncher.exe

  • Added new CLI option to perform an Asset Scan (early access feature)
    • /scan:asset /LogFile:”PATH_TO_FILE” – Performs a silent Asset Scan and outputs the results in JSON format to the file specified.

Malwarebytes Portable Scanner

  • Fixed a regression bug that caused the Malwarebytes Portable Scanner to report scanning 1 object then finish when HFS metadata files are present in Toolset directories.

Malwarebytes Toolset Updater

  • Added support for Malwarebytes 4.x for Windows Offline Installer.
  • Fixed a regression bug that caused the MBTS Updater to fail due when HFS metadata files are present in Toolset directories.
  • Fixed a regression bug that caused MBTS.exe to hang or operate slowly when performing a Toolset Upgrade when HFS metadata files are present in Toolset directories.

MyTools

  • Added support to require a Name when adding or editing a tool with the MyTools Editor.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Powershell scripts to attempt to execute without the expected ExecutionPolicy Bypass and NoProfile arguments (Thanks to CJ from onPhyia!!)
  • Fixed a bug that caused Tile Preview to fail when adding a new tool before saving.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Tile Preview to fail if Properties fields are empty.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed you to add a tool without a name that would not appear in the MyTools area of the Toolbox.

Network Devices Scanner

  • Updated OUI database to support more device vendors.

Toolbox

  • Updated Malwarebytes for Windows (Toolbox > Protect) to install Malwarebytes 4.x (Offline Installer)
  • Renamed Malwarebytes for Chrome to Browser Guard for Chrome.
  • Renamed Malwarebytes for Firefox to Browser Guard for Firefox.

User Interface

  • Fixed a spelling error in an error message when license validation fails.
