If the devices in your organization have Kaspersky Small Office Security installed, you can manage their protection remotely. In the Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console, you can:

  • View a list of security issues and fix them remotely.
  • Scan devices for viruses and other malicious applications.
  • Update databases and application modules.
  • Enable and disable protection components.
  • Send commands to mobile devices should they get lost or stolen.

To remotely manage the protection of your connected devices:

  1. Create an account in the Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console. See this article for instructions.
  2. Connect devices to the Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console:
 

How to update anti-virus databases

To update the antivirus databases on connected devices remotely:

  1. Sign in to Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console.
  2. Go to the Devices tab.
  3. Select the checkboxes beside the devices you want to run the update on, or select Select all. Please note that this feature does not work for mobile devices.
  4. Click Update.
The anti-virus databases will be updated on the devices you have selected.
 

How to run a quick or full scan

To run a quick or full scan task on the connected devices remotely:

  1. Sign in to Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console.
  2. Go to the Devices tab.
  3. Select the checkboxes beside the devices you want to run the update on, or select Select all. Please note that this feature does not work for mobile devices.
  4. Click Quick Scan or Full Scan.
A quick or full scan will be run on the devices you selected.
 

How to enable or disable protection components

To enable or disable protection components on your connected devices remotely:

  1. Sign in to the Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console.
  2. Go to the Devices tab.
  3. Hover your mouse cursor over the device and click Manage.
  4. Select Components and click on the switch beside the protection component you want to enable or disable. If the switch is green, it means the component is enabled. If it’s gray, it means the component is disabled.
The protection components will be enabled or disabled on the devices you selected.
 

How to manage the protection of mobile devices

To manage the protection of mobile devices remotes:

  1. Sign in to Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console.
  2. Go to the Devices tab.
  3. Hover your mouse cursor over the mobile device and click Manage.
  4. You can:
    • Eliminate threats should they arise.
    • Use the features of the Anti-Theft component. For the instructions on how to set up the Anti-Theft component, see the Online Help page.
We recommend configuring Anti-Theft and Privacy Protection components as soon as you have you mobile device connected to your account. Otherwise you won’t be able to use these components remotely.
