Kaspersky Small Office Security runs automatically at Windows startup. If you did not change the application’s startup settings, your computer is protected even if the main application window is closed.
In the main window of the Kaspersky Small Office Security, you will see information about your computer’s protection status, protection components, the license term.
How to start the application
To start Kaspersky Small Office Security, double-click the application shortcut on the desktop.
If there is no application icon on the Desktop:
- Press Win+E on your keyboard.
- Go to the following folder:
- For users of 32-bit operating systems — C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Small Office Security 20.0
- For users of 64-bit operating systems — C:\Program Files(x86)\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Small Office Security 20.0
- Run the avpui.exe file.
How to open the application window
To open the main window of Kaspersky Small Office Security, use one of the following methods:
- Double-click the application icon on the Desktop.
- Click on the application icon in the lower-right corner of the Desktop (taskbar). If the application icon is hidden from the taskbar, click the Show hidden icons arrow.
- Right-click the application icon in the lower-right corner of the Desktop (taskbar) and select Kaspersky Small Office Security from the shortcut menu. If the application icon is hidden from the taskbar, click the Show hidden icons arrow.
If the application icon is not in the taskbar, it means Kaspersky Small Office Security is not running and the computer is not protected.
How to open the application settings
To open the Kaspersky Small Office Security settings, use one of the following methods:
- In the lower right corner of Desktop (Taskbar notification area), right-click the application icon and select Settings from the shortcut menu.
- Click the settings icon in the lower-left corner of the main window of your Kaspersky Lab application.
The Kaspersky Small Office Security settings window will open.
What to do if the application window does not open
If the Kaspersky Small Office Security window does not open, it means that protection is not working or is working incorrectly. To fix this problem, reinstall the application.
If the issue persists, submit a request to Kaspersky Lab technical support via the Kaspersky Small Office Security Management Console. Please include a detailed description of the issue.
