To view the logs generated by the Management Console you will need to run the Collect System Information tool. To run this tool:
On Windows Server 2008
- Go to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes Management Server > Collect System Information
- Save the zip file to a location of your choosing.
On Windows Server 2012
- Press the Windows Key or Start Button
- Type in Collect System Information and click on it when it appears.
- Save the zip file to a location of your choosing.
The following logs will be contained in the zip folder.
ServerSystemInfo.txt
This log will display:
- Host name
- Domain/Workgroup name
- DNS Domain name
- MAC Address
- IP Address
- Subnet Mask
- Default Gateway
- Preferred DNS
- Alternate DNS
- Operating System
- Service Pack
- Communication Settings
- Server Address
- Client Communication Port
- Server Administration Port
- Management Server Version
- Latest Error
Server Logs
- Management-service.txt in version 1.7+
- mee-log.txt in version 1.6 and below
This log contains all actions the Management Server service performs. This includes, but Is not limited to:
- Service starting
- Reports starting
- Server signature updates
- Automatic features and configurations, such as e-mail notifications and syslog
- Deployment results
- Logging information to the database
- And any errors related to the above
Console Logs
- console.txt in version 1.7+
- consolelogs.txt in version 1.6 and below
These logs contain information specific to the console only. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Reporting results
- Login attempts
- Login expiration
- Console configurations
- And any errors related to the above.
