If you have deleted your Norton Family account or if you no longer want to monitor activities on a device, you can uninstall it from your device.
Depending on your device, select one of the following:
I have a Windows PC
- Press the + keys to open the Run dialog box.
- In the Run dialog box, type in the following text, and then press :
appwiz.cpl
- In the list of currently installed programs, click , and then click or .
- Click to confirm.
- In the Norton Family window, type your parent email address and password, and click .
- Click .
- When the uninstall finishes, exit all programs and restart the computer.
I have an Android device
These steps are general and may differ depending on the version of the Android OS.
- From the Home screen, go to .
- Under Personal, tap , and then tap
- Next to Norton Family, uncheck the check box.
- In the Device Administration screen, tap .
- In the Norton Family screen, type parent email address and password, and tap .
- From the Home screen, go to .
- Depending on the version of Android OS, go to or or to view the list of installed apps.
- From the list of apps, tap .
- Tap .
- Tap to confirm.
- When the uninstall finishes, tap .
I have an iPhone or iPad
- On the Home screen, tap and hold on the icon until it jiggles.
- In the top-left corner of the app icon, tap .
- Tap to confirm.
Norton Family is now uninstalled from your device. Ensure that you have also remove the device from your Norton Family account. For more information, read Remove or rename a device from your Norton Family account.
