McAfee Mobile Security is being replaced with McAfee Security. When you upgrade to the new McAfee Security app, the features described in this article are removed.
Because the features described below are not available in the new McAfee Security app, this article is not relevant to McAfee Security.
To learn more about these changes and the new McAfee Security app:
You can transfer your existing McAfee Mobile Security product subscription to a new smartphone or tablet device.
- Download and install McAfee Mobile Security on your device. For download instructions, see TS100342 – How to download and install McAfee consumer products.
- Open McAfee Mobile Security and activate it by logging in.
- Type your McAfee email address and password.
NOTE: Select Show Password to see the actual characters.
- Click Continue.
- Select the available subscription you want to use.
- Click Continue.
- Type your phone number (optional).
- Type and verify your PIN for the existing McAfee Mobile Security account.
- Click Continue.
- Select Activate or Cancel on the Device Admin set up screen.
To update your McAfee Mobile Security account with the new tablet information, download and install McAfee Mobile Security with your existing account.
To continue McAfee Mobile Security, please use that SIM.
If you no longer have that SIM please contact support.
Please use that McAfee Security account to wp-signup.php this device.
- Original User name (phone number for smartphone and email address for tablet)
- The name of one of the previous owner’s buddies
For a smartphone:
- The IMEI number of the old device
- The IMEI number of the new device
- The wp-signup.phped phone number
- The IMEI number and Android ID of the old device
- The IMEI number and Android ID of the new device
- The wp-signup.phped email address
