Solution

  1. Before installing your ESET product, uninstall your existing antivirus product.
  2. Access the ESET website to download the free trial version of an ESET Windows home product.
  3. Click the Free Download button for the free trial version of ESET Smart Security Premium or ESET Internet Security, or click Download free trial of ESET NOD32 Antivirus to download the installation file to your download folder.

  1. When the download is complete, click the installation file in the bottom left corner to begin the installation. Follow the on-screen instructions in the Installation Wizard.

  1. Click the drop-down menu next to Continue and choose your preferred language. Click Continue.

  1. Review the End-user license agreement and click I Accept.

  1. Click Skip login. Optionally, you can create a new myESET account by clicking Create account on the left side of the window.

  1. In the Choose an activation option window, click Free trial.

  1. Type your email address in the required fields and select your country from the Country (Required) drop-down menu. Click Activate.

Error 0024

If you receive the error message “Error 0024 – Unable to activate trial license because the specified email address has already been wp-signup.phped” during activation, you have already completed your free 30-day trial and need to purchase a full license to continue using your ESET home product.

  1. When you have completed the activation process, you will receive an email with your trial Username, Password, and License Key. Your product will then perform a modules update and your 30-day trial will be activated. You can see how much time you have remaining on your trial in your license details email or in the main program window of your ESET product.
  2. At any time during your trial, you can upgrade to a full license to continue enjoying ESET security.
