Issue

Solution
When you purchase a license for an ESET product, you will receive an email from ESET containing your ESET-issued Username, Password, and License Key, along with other important license information. This email will be delivered to the email address used at the time of purchase.

- I never received my license information.

Username, Password, and License Key
Depending on the version of your ESET product, an ESET-issued Username and Password or License Key is used to activate your product. Once activated, your product is able to receive the latest virus signature database and program component updates.
Usernames and Passwords
Remember to enter your Username and Password exactly as they are written:
- The username and password are case sensitive
- The hyphen in the username is necessary
- The password is ten characters long and all lowercase
- If you are copying and pasting, make sure you don’t select an extra blank space
- We do not use the letter L in passwords (use the number one (1) instead)
- A big ‘0’ is the number zero (0); a little ‘o’ is the lowercase letter o
What is a License Key?
The ESET-issued Username and Password used to activate previous (8.x and earlier) versions of ESET Smart Security and ESET NOD32 Antivirus have been replaced with a License Key in version 9 and later. The License Key is a unique string that is used during activation.
