Installing AVG TuneUp (Windows PC)

AVG TuneUp for Windows is an optimization tool that detects unnecessary items and performance issues on your PC, optimizes disk space, and improves the speed of your system.

AVG TuneUp is a paid product that requires a subscription to use. This article explains how to install the application and either start using the product in free-trial mode, activate an existing subscription, or purchase AVG TuneUp.

1. Click the button below to download the AVG TuneUp setup file, and save it to a familiar location on your PC (by default, all files are saved to your Downloads folder).

2. Right-click the downloaded setup file avg_tuneup_online_setup.exe and select Run as administrator from the context menu.
   
3. If prompted for permission by the User Account Control dialog, click Yes.
   

5. To change the default setup language, click the current language in the top-right corner of the screen. Then, click Install Now to proceed with installation.
   
6. Wait while setup installs AVG TuneUp on your PC.
   
7. Choose one of the options below:
   • Free trial: If you have not yet purchased an AVG TuneUp subscription, you can continue to use the product in free-trial mode for a limited time period. Click Scan Now to run a comprehensive Maintenance scan and immediately check your PC for system junk, broken shortcuts, and other issues.
   • Activate: If you purchased AVG TuneUp before installation, activate your paid subscription. For detailed activation instructions, refer to the following article:

   • Purchase: Click Extend Subscription, then follow the on-screen instructions to purchase an AVG TuneUp subscription.
   

AVG TuneUp is now installed on your PC.
