This is a step by step guide on how to install AVG admin console on a server.

To install AVG admin console onto your server, download the latest install files from www.avgsa.co.za/downloads

The install files needed are:
• AVG for Server
• AVG for Workstation
• AVG Admin console

These install files can be saved on your desktop or preferred destination.

This will show you step by step how to install Admin console

Installing AVG Admin console.

Step 1.

Open the AVG Admin console install file
Select your preferred language.

Step 2.

Read through and accept the licence agreement.


Step 3.

Enter your licence Key.

Step 4.

If you already have Admin Console the set up will detect this and provide you with an option to upgrade.

Step 5.

Select the type of installation with which you wish to proceed.

Step 6.

Select the components you wish to install.

Step 7.

Admin console is now installed on your server, click next to open the Server deployment wizard.

Step 8.

Follow the steps through the Deployment wizard.

Step 9.

Choose your server role/s.

Step 10.

Since the setup already detected that a previous version of AVG admin console was installed it automatically recommends a backup,
This backup will keep your current AVG database center database as is.

Step 11.

Select the option to update the AVG Data center database.

Step 12.

If your Admin server had a username and password set previously you may enter it here,
If you did not have a username and password you may click next and proceed.

Step 13.

Select the web server from which your admin server will receive updates.

Step 14.

Add the admin server to the list where workstations will receive updates.

Step 15.

Click Deploy to Deploy settings.

Step 16.

The AVG admin server Deployment has completed successfully.
