In Windows 7, the User Account Control function may in some cases create a copy of specific AVG files in a virtual folder. This limits AVG functionality after installation.

To disable the UAC function in Windows 7:

  1. On the taskbar, click Start.
  2. Click Control Panel, and then click User Accounts.
  3. Click Change User Account Control settings.
  4. Move the slider down to Never notify, and then click OK.
  5. Restart the computer.
