Upload a file to our FTP server

Instructions

If you have been requested to upload files to our FTP server (e.g. undetected virus sample, log files, etc.), please follow the steps below:

Using AVG tool

  1. Download the AVG SysInfo Tool
  2. Run the downloaded tool
  3. Click Continue to agree with AVG’s License Agreement and Privacy Policy. AVG SysInfo will now gather the data required
  4. Once the diagnostic output is complete, you may add comments or click Attach file or Screenshot to provide us with additional information
  5. Enter your email address
  6. Fill in your case# (if applicable)
  7. Click Send output

Manually

  1. Rename the file you wish to upload so that it contains either the AVG# number assigned to you, or your email address
  2. Open this link in Windows Explorer (via Start -> My Computer or using Windows + E hotkey):
    ftp://ftp.avg.com/incoming/
  3. If you are asked for a user name and password, please fill in:
    User name: anonymous
    Password: your email address
  4. Find the files you wish to upload to the server, and drag and drop them into the browser window

Once you upload the files, you will not be able to access them or see them on the server. Please inform us about the uploaded files. Mention the file name, in case you stored the uploaded files in a password-protected archive and provide us with a password.

If the upload is interrupted, it is not possible to resume the upload. In this case, please repeat the steps above.
