Refunds are provided through McAfee Customer Service.
Here are the answers to some of the common questions about the McAfee Refund Policy:
- What is not refundable
Shipping, handling, and any applicable tax are not refundable, except in certain states and countries where these items are refundable. - Who is eligible
Annual subscribers to a McAfee Consumer or Small Business Security product who make a request within 30 days of a product purchase.McAfee does not provide partial refunds. The 30-day money back guarantee is not available for monthly subscribers.
Individual users who have acquired the products or services covered under this program for their personal or small-business use can cancel their purchase from McAfee and obtain a refund within a set time frame from the original purchase.
If the purchase is outside of the following time frames, the refund is denied:
- 30 days for Annual Subscription services
- 30 days for Retail Products
If your annual subscription has been automatically renewed, McAfee provides you a full refund if your request is made within 60 days of being charged.

- Who is not eligible
Monthly subscribers. Individual users who cancel their monthly membership will no longer be charged in the next month of their subscription.
- Charging anomalies
If you think you have been charged incorrectly or you have another anomaly that you think requires a refund, contact Customer Service. For example, if your credit card bill shows that you have been charged twice.
- Customers from the Netherlands
The above does not apply for Dutch customers. Customers from the Netherlands must contact Customer Service for more details. - Software removal
