This topic explains what happens to your FREEDOME VPN when you upgrade to Windows 10.
When upgrading your operating system from Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 to Windows 10, you can choose to:
Keep your programs and data through the Windows 10 upgrade (Recommended)
If you choose to upgrade to Windows 10 whilst keeping your programs and data, the FREEDOME VPN application does not get removed and continues to work normally after the upgrade.
Make a fresh (clean) Windows 10 installation
If you choose to make a fresh (clean) Windows 10 installation, you will need to reinstall FREEDOME after the Windows 10 upgrade. Do note that this method of upgrade requires you to type in a new subscription code as every installation of FREEDOME VPN uses one of your available subscriptions.
Note: If you have had an expired trial subscription of FREEDOME VPN on your computer before the Windows upgrade, it will remain expired after Windows has been upgraded. This applies to both the Windows upgrade methods mentioned above.
