Starting email monitoring (F-Secure)

You can start monitoring your email addresses either through your My F-Secure or through the F-Secure ID PROTECTION app.

To start monitoring through My F-Secure:

1. 1. Log in to your My F-Secure account.
   2. Do one the following:
      • If you are using a mobile device:
        1. In My F-Secure, select the main menu in the top-right corner of the page. The TOTAL apps page opens showing all the TOTAL apps available to you.
        2. Select ID Monitoring.
      • If you are using a desktop device:
        1. In My F-Secure, select TOTAL apps in the top bar.
        2. On the My F-Secure dashboard, select Open ID Monitoring.

The Welcome to ID PROTECTION monitoring page opens.

1. 1. Select + Add Monitored Item.
   2. Enter the email address you want to add for monitoring and select Add.

      Important: We have sent an email with a confirmation link to your email address.

   3. Select OK.

The app immediately checks the existing data breaches to see if your email address is mentioned in any of them. If your email address appears in any of the known data breaches, the breaches are listed in the Monitoring view. To be able to see more detailed information about your leaked data and the recommended actions, you need to confirm your email address first.

1. 1. Open the confirmation email, and select the link to confirm that this is your email address.

This email address becomes automatically your contact email address. If you wish, you can later change it to another email address.

1. To see the details of your exposed personal information, if any, and what you should do, select the specific breach listed in the Monitoring view.
2. To eliminate the risk of your information being misused, we urge you to execute the recommended actions as soon as possible.
