Selecting what app notifications are shown (F-Secure Android)

As is the case with all apps on Android devices, you can customize the notification settings for the app.

To access the notification settings for the SAFE app, do the following:

1. 1. In the app, select  and Settings.
   2. In Notifications, select the App notifications link.

This opens up the different types of notifications for F-Secure SAFE.

1. 1. Next to Show notifications, slide the slider to turn on notifications.

A list appears with the different types of notifications, for example, Harmful item alerts or Family rules alerts.

1. To select what kind of notification you see, select the category, for example, Harmful item alerts, then select the notification type from the following options:
   • Alert – you hear a sound when you receive a notification from the app. When this option is on, you can turn on the following options:
     • Show as pop-up – when this option is on, a message is shown on your lock screen.
     • Sound – you can choose the default notification sound or a custom one from the list.
     • Vibrate – when on, you hear a vibration when you receive a notification.
     • App icon badges – when on, this enables the app icon to appear whenever there is a notification from F-Secure SAFE.
     • Lock screen – with this, you can choose to see the content of the notification on the lock screen, you can hide the content, or you can choose not see the notification at all.
     • Ignore “Do not disturb” – when this option is on, the app shows the notifications even if the Ignore Do not disturb-status is on.
   • Silent – there is no audible alert to let you know the app has sent a notification. When this option is on, you can turn on the following options:
     • Minimize notifications – when this is turned on, no pop-up notifications are shown.
     • App icon badges – when on, this enables the app icon to appear whenever there is a notification from F-Secure SAFE.
     • Lock screen – with this, you can choose to see the content of the notification on the lock screen, you can hide the content, or you can choose not see the notification at all.

       Note: This option is visible only if the Minimize notifications option is turned off.

     • Ignore “Do not disturb” – when this option is on, the app shows the notifications even if the Ignore Do not disturb-status is on.
