  • You want to import passwords and other data into ESET Password Manager

Solution

A new version of Password Manager is available

Password Manager 2.x is no longer supported. Click here for instructions to upgrade Password Manager to the latest version (for mobile devices or extensions).

Import data

Import your passwords and personal data from browsers or other password managers.
  1. Open the ESET Password Manager browser extension, click the menu icon, and then click Settings.

  1. Scroll down and click Import Data.

  1. Type or copy/paste in the Master Password and click Continue.

  1. Select a vendor from the Import from the drop-down menu. To import data exported from the previous version of Password Manager, choose ESET Password Manager v2.

  1. Click Choose File.
Supported format used to import passwords

Different password manager vendors require different file types. Ensure the supported format is used to import passwords into ESET Password Manager.

  1. Select the file path, select the password file, and then click Open.

  1. Enter the password created during the export process, and click Continue. If there is no option to enter a password, click Continue.

  1. Once the import has been completed, all the saved passwords will appear under Accounts.
