ESET home product in Limited Support status

This article applies to an ESET product version that is currently in Limited Support status and is scheduled to reach End of Life status soon.

Migrate from ESET NOD32 Antivirus for Linux Desktop to ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Linux.

  1. Purchase a license
  2. Type your new ESET-issued Username and Password into the program

To upgrade your trial version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 for Linux Desktop to the full version, follow the steps below:

NOTE:

You will not be required to re-install the software to upgrade to the full version.

I. Purchase a license

  1. Visit the Purchase Page and complete the purchase process.
  2. When you have completed the purchasing process, you will receive an email with a new Username and Password (usually within one hour). When you receive this email, continue to the next section.

II. Type your new ESET-issued Username and Password into the program

  1. Open the main program window by clicking the ESET icon  in the notification area, or by clicking Applications  System Tools → ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4.
  2. Click Update Username and Password setup.

  3. Type the new username and password that were sent to you upon purchase of your license. The following are EXAMPLES only:

    Username: EAV-12345678

    Password: abcde12345

    Usernames and Passwords

    Remember to enter your Username and Password exactly as they are written:

    • The username and password are case sensitive
    • The hyphen in the username is necessary
    • The password is ten characters long and all lowercase
    • If you are copying and pasting, make sure you don’t select an extra blank space
    • We do not use the letter L in passwords (use the number one (1) instead)
    • A big ‘0’ is the number zero (0); a little ‘o’ is the lowercase letter o

  4. Click OK.
Allow 24-48 hours after entering your new username and password

Allow 24-48 hours after entering your new username and password for the new expiration date to display.

If you entered your ESET-issued Username and Password correctly, you will be upgraded to the full version and the detection engine update will complete successfully.
