When trying to login to the app the following errors will show if…

The password being entered definitely does not match the TotalAV account password defined by you when the account was created or when the password was last changed:

The email address being entered definitely does not match the TotalAV email address you input when the account was created:

Your connection to the internet is not working, or a firewall is blocking connection to TotalAV servers:

If you cannot remember your TotalAV password, it can be reset by:

  • Visiting http://login.TotalAV.com/forgotten-password

  • Entering the email address you use to sign in to TotalAV and clicking Request Link

  • In under a minute, an email will be sent to your email address titled Reset your password

  • If the email hasn’t been received within a minute, please check the email SPAM and Junk folders

  • Within the email is a link, clicking this link will allow you to define a new password for logging into TotalAV

If you reset your password, please remember that any TotalAV applications you have installed on computers, phones or tablets will need to be logged back into in order to remain protected and continue running antivirus scans.

If you cannot remember the email address used for your TotalAV account:

  • Email [email protected]

  • In the email state, you cannot remember what email address you use on your TotalAV account

  • The support team will reply asking you to confirm other details, such as:

    • The last four digits of the credit card you used to make payment

    • Your billing address and zip/postcode

  • The support team will then be able to locate the account and verify you as the owner

  • The support team will be able to assist in changing your account email address should you need to

If you change your TotalAV account email address, please remember that any TotalAV applications you have installed on computers, phones or tablets will need to be logged back into in order to remain protected and continue running antivirus scans.

At TotalAV we frequently find that customers who pay by PayPal use a different email address for their PayPal account to the email address they typically use to sign up to websites. If you used PayPal to upgrade and are in a muddle with logging in, perhaps finding TotalAV is telling you that you are a free user when you have paid, please login with your other email address.
