Installing FREEDOME VPN on Mac computers (F-Secure)

This topic describes how to install F-Secure FREEDOME VPN on your Mac computer if you have an F-Secure TOTAL subscription.

Before starting installing F-Secure FREEDOME VPN on your computer, you need to have your My F-Secure account ready.

Note: If you already have FREEDOME installed and have upgraded to a TOTAL subscription, activate your TOTAL subscription in the FREEDOME app as described in topic Moving from a FREEDOME-only subscription to a TOTAL subscription.

    1. Log in to your My F-Secure account.
    2. In My F-Secure, select TOTAL apps in the top bar.
    3. On the My F-Secure dashboard, select FREEDOME.
    4. Select Install FREEDOME.
    5. Select My device, and then select Continue.

The Choose device type window appears.

    1. Select This computer, and then select Download for Mac.
    2. Find the installation file from the Downloads folder, and double-click it to install FREEDOME.

The Welcome to the Freedome Installer wizard opens.

    1. Select Continue.
    2. Read the terms of service, select Continue and then select Agree.
    3. Under Installation Type, select Continue and then Install.
    4. If prompted, enter your administrator credentials and select Install Software.
    5. Once the installation is completed, your subscription needs to be activated:
      1. Enter the name of your new device and select Continue.
      2. To complete the activation, select OK.
    6. On FREEDOME, select the Protection OFF switch to start the protection.

The switch changes to Protection ON.

F-Secure FREEDOME VPN is now installed on your device.
