How to restore the backup of K7 Enterprise Security?

To restore a backup of the console and its configuration, please follow these steps:

Method I: By Using Product Backup Utility

1. Download K7 Enterprise Security Setup from here.
2. Open the %temp% folder from the Run and clear all the files inside it.
3. Just execute the setup file downloaded from the link provided above ( do not click on next ).
4. Open the %temp% folder, you can find a Folder named K7BizSetup_****
5. Open the folder to find the sqlexpr2008r2.exe file
6. Copy it and save the file in the desktop.
7. Close the installation window.
8. Run the K7 back up which you had taken.
9. It will ask for SQL location. Redirect it the sqlexpr2008r2.exe saved in the desktop and click next.
10. Wait for a moment, Installation will be done.

Upon Successful completion of product restoration, login to K7 console and ensure the license is in active state.

Method II: By using SQL DB

1. Download K7 Enterprise Security Setup from here.
2. Install the Enterprise Console by following these steps
3. After successful installation, Open Run-> Services.msc
4. Search for SQL Server (K7BIZSQL) and stop it for a while.
5. Go to DATA back up folder which has been taken earlier and copy k7biz.mdf & k7biz_log.LDF
6. Paste these two files in the K7 SQL DB location

For 32 Bit:- C:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQL10_50.K7BIZSQLMSSQLDATA

For 64 bit:- C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft SQL ServerMSSQL10_50.K7BIZSQLMSSQLDATA

7. Start the SQL Server (K7BIZSQL) and login to console.

Upon Successful completion of product restoration, login to K7 console and ensure the license is in active state.
