This topic explains how you can move from KEY to ID PROTECTION on your mobile device.
Note: These instructions do not apply to you if you have an F-Secure TOTAL subscription.
These instructions apply to you in the following instances:
- You are using F-Secure KEY on your mobile device.
- You have an ID PROTECTION subscription and want to take it fully into use.
- You want to transfer your data from KEY to ID PROTECTION.
To move from KEY to ID PROTECTION:

- Create a My F-Secure account:
- Go to page https://campaigns.f-secure.com/key/id-protection/en/#get-started.
- Select Create account.
- Enter the required information and select Accept and create account.
- Create a My F-Secure account:
The My F-Secure page opens.
- Install ID PROTECTION:

- Download and install ID PROTECTION from the respective app store, Google Play or App Store, or from your My F-Secure.
When you open the app for the first time, the Welcome to ID PROTECTION! page opens.

- Swipe through the tutorial and select GET STARTED.
- Read the license terms and select ACCEPT AND CONTINUE.
- If you are asked to log in, select the Log in link in the top-right corner and enter your My F-Secure credentials.
- Enter a name for this device.
Giving a unique name for the device makes it easy for you to distinguish your devices from each other in My F-Secure.

- Select Continue.
Your subscription is now active.

- As you are upgrading from F-Secure KEY to ID PROTECTION, select here option I have ID PROTECTION or KEY.
The Connect devices page opens.

- Now open F-Secure KEY.
- In KEY, select Menu > Connect devices.
A synchronization code is automatically generated, and it is valid for 60 seconds at a time. A new code is generated immediately after the current code expires.

- Go back to ID PROTECTION and in Enter Sync Code, enter the sync code that was generated in KEY (toggle between apps), then select Connect.
- Enter the master password for the F-Secure KEY app and select Confirm.
The master password in ID PROTECTION is set to the same as in KEY and the setup is complete.
- Go to Vault and check that the passwords and other data have been transferred correctly from KEY.

- Once you have made sure that all your passwords and personal data have been transferred to ID PROTECTION, uninstall KEY from your mobile device.
You can start using ID PROTECTION to the full and set up email monitoring.
