In the Security History window, the new events overwrite the old ones once the log list reaches its maximum limit. So, Norton lets you export the Security History events to a file so that you can review them at any time.
Import or export Security History information
- Start Norton.
If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click .
- In the Norton main window, double-click , and then click .
- To export, do the following:
- Click .
To export items related to a category, in the Show drop-down list, select that category.
- In the Save As dialog box that appears, select the format, name, and location for the log file, and then click .
You can export the log into .mcf or .txt file. The .mcf can be viewed only in the Security History window.
- Click .
- To import, do the following:
- Click .
- Browse to the folder that has the .mcf file you want to import. This file replaces the current list. Once you are done, close the file to return to the current list.
