You can exclude devices to which you do not want to apply any device access rules.

Note: Device control is available only in Premium products.

If you want to exclude, for example, all USB devices, instead of entering full device IDs, you can use a mask “USB\*” to filter the devices.

To exclude devices using a mask:

    1. To find device IDs, go to Devices.
    2. Select the desired device, and then select Connected devices.
    3. In the Filter by device ID field, enter a mask, for example, “USB\*”.

The page shows all the devices with a device ID starting with “USB\”.

    1. Make sure that the list includes all the devices that you want to exclude
    2. Under Profiles, first select the desired profile, then select Device control
    3. Under Device filtering rules, in the Rules table, select Add rule.

An empty row appears.

  1. Add a new rule with a mask, for example, *USB\*”.
  2. Select Save and Publish.

All devices with an ID starting with “USB\*” that are found in the Rules table are excluded from the list of connected devices.
