These instructions are to disable Safari on iOS 11. By disabling Safari, you can ensure that your child cannot access unsafe sites using Safari.
Especially when using Safe Browser on children’s devices, we recommend disabling Safari, as the app cannot prevent Safari or other browsers for that matter from accessing unsafe sites.
Disable Safari as follows:
-
- Open Settings.
- Go to General > Restrictions.
- Select Enable Restrictions.
- Set a passcode for the restrictions.
You need this code to make changes to the restricted applications later.
- In the Allow list, turn off Safari and Installing Apps.
