These instructions are to disable Safari on iOS 12-14. By disabling Safari, you can ensure that your child cannot access unsafe sites using Safari.
Especially when using Safe Browser on children’s devices, we recommend disabling Safari, as the app cannot prevent Safari or other browsers for that matter from accessing unsafe sites.
Disable Safari as follows:
-
- Open Settings.
- Go to Screen Time.
- Select Turn On Screen Time, if it has not been previously turned on, then follow the instructions on the screen to enable this.
- Go to Content & Privacy Restrictions, and slide the button to turn on, if this has not been previously turned on.
- Go to Allowed Apps.
- Find Safari in the list of apps, and slide the button to turn off.
Safari is now disabled and disappears from your favorite apps.
