Mid-2019 TotalAV we released a major update to our software – the newest version is version 5. Unfortunately, this update is not available for Windows XP and Windows Vista – Application version 4.14 is the last version to support these operating systems.
Microsoft stopped providing security updates to XP in 2014 and Vista in 2017. Regrettably, this means those operating systems are inherently vulnerable even with an antivirus. We strongly advise stopping the use of Windows XP or Vista. We also recommend upgrading from Windows 7 to 10, now that Microsoft support for Windows 7 officially ended as of January 2020, as more time that passes the more vulnerable will become.
