Your subscription comes with a limited number of licenses to protect your various devices. If you have used up your licenses, you can transfer a license from an unused device to allow installation on another device. To check if you have any licenses left with your subscription, read Find the licenses left with your subscription.

Transfer your license to another device

These steps are for transferring a license if you have used all of your licenses.

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. On the Device Security page, identify the device that you no longer want to protect.

    You cannot remove the license associated with a device that has a red or gray (inactive) status. You must fix the issues in that device before you remove the license associated with it. If you cannot fix the issues, you can remove the device from your account.

  3. If you do not see the device, click View History link at the bottom of the device list to see your older inactive devices. If you still do not see the device, the device may be associated with a different product key or subscription.
  4. Click the More options icon available below the device and in the menu that appears, click Manage License.
  5. In the Manage Licenses page, select Remove License and then click Yes to confirm.Once you remove a license from a device, the device is no longer protected and is removed from the Device Security page.
  6. To install the protection on a new device, click Install Now.
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions and complete the installation. For detailed steps, read Download your protection on your device.

Install your protection on another device

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Under the subscription that you want to extend to your other device, check if you have licenses left with your subscription.
  3. If you have an unused license, click Download.
  4. Click Send a download link.
  5. Do one of the following:
  6. To get an email with a download link, type an email address that you can access from your other device and then click  icon.By default, your account email address is filled in.
  7. To get a text message with a download link, click Text and do the following:
    • Select your country from the drop-down list.
    • Enter the mobile number on which you want to receive the text message.
    • Click  icon.
  8. To copy the download link, click Copy Link.
  9. To get the app on your mobile, scan the QR code at the right side of the screen.

Install your protection on your current device

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. In the My Norton page, click/tap Download.
  3. In the Get Started page, click Agree & Download.

    If you are on a mobile device, choose the subscription that you want to download and tap Next.
