Notifications to allow Sophos Home kernel extensions (KEXT) did not appear (Troubleshoot)

You installed Sophos Home on a computer running macOS 10.13 High Sierra, 10.14 Mojave or 10.15 Catalina, but you did not receive any notification to allow the Sophos Home kernel extensions (KEXT).

Cause

Notifications to allow Sophos Home KEXT are not received when:

  • The kernel extensions are no longer applicable, macOS11 Big Sur +
  • Sophos Home has already been installed in the past on the same computer. This then automatically loads the kernel extensions.
