-
- Verify that the Windows Service F-Secure Radar Agent is installed and running.
You can use the Task Manager or Windows Services to verify if the service is running.
-
- Open Radar Scan Node – Control Center and verify that the Scan Node Agent is active.
The Scan Node Agent should be activated within a few minutes after it is first run.
-
- Verify that the scanning engines and plugins can be downloaded.
After the installation, wait 5-10 minutes for the Radar.Scan.Daemon to download all the binaries. Once completed, you should see the following folders:
- [drive]:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\RadarScanAgent\binaries_ds
- [drive]:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\RadarScanAgent\binaries_ws
- [drive]:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\RadarScanAgent\binaries_ss
Note: If a scan engine module is deactivated, its binaries will not be downloaded.
-
- Verify that the scan node can connect to the Elements Security Center:
-
- Log in to the F-Secure Elements Security Center.
- Go to the Scan nodes page.
It should always be less than 1 minute since the scan node attempted to connect to the Elements Security Center. If Last seen is longer, see the troubleshooting section.
-
- Review the log files in [drive]:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\RadarScanAgent\logs for other errors.
- Run a few test scans.
- Verify that the scan node can connect to the Elements Security Center:
For example:
- Run a Discovery Scan using the Host Discovery mode.
- Run a System Scan with a limited port range (e.g. TCP/80,443).
- Run a Web Scan with Run attacks disabled.
