The product helps you evaluate the safety of web sites you visit and prevents you from accessing harmful web sites unintentionally.
The product checks the safety of a web site automatically before you access the site. If the site is rated as suspicious or harmful, the product blocks the access to the site. The safety rating of a web site is based on information from several sources, such as F-Secure malware analysts and F-Secure partners.
Note: If you use any other browser, Safe browsing does not protect your web browsing.
Once Safe browsing is turned on in your product, it automatically starts when you launch a supported web browser.
To use Safe browsing, follow these instructions:
- Launch one of the following browsers:
- F-Secure Safe browser
- Dolphin browser
- Alternatively, you can launch any of the supported web browsers on the Safe Browsing screen in your product.
