F-Secure uses a network installer for the following reasons:

  • A network installer is typically smaller in size resulting in a quicker initial download. It takes over the downloading of additional components and makes the installation more reliable.
  • The installation of the product is faster because only the required product component are downloaded and installed.
  • The network installer always installs the latest version of the product. This means that you do not need to upgrade the product after installation.
