The Security History – Advanced Details window gives more information about a security event so that you can decide on the action to be taken.
- Start Norton.
If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click .
- In the Norton main window, double-click , and then click .
- In the Security History window, in the Show drop-down list, select the category to filter the security events by category. For example, select to list only the security events that are related to the Quarantine feature.
- Double-click an item, or select , to open the Security History Advanced Details or File Insight window.
- Under Alert Summary, find the severity level, activity type, and the status of the selected item. It also shows you the recommended action required for the detected item.
- Under Advanced Details, find information such as risk level, risk category, date of submission, and risk description.
- Under Actions, choose the option that best suits your situation.
- For Data Protector, you have the options to Exclude Process from data protector scanning and Remove the file/folder from exclusion and File Insight.
- For Firewall – Network and Connections, you have the option to Trust, Remove trust, Restrict, or Remove restriction from the selected computer or from all of the unclassified computers on the selected network.
- For Firewall – Activities, you have option to Allow the selected program to access the internet or you can view the firewall rule that is set for the selected program using View Rule option.
- For Security History – Firewall-Activities, you have Norton File Insight option to view the details of the file that accessed Internet in the File Insight window.
- For Intrusion Prevention, you have the option to allow or block the notification for the selected attack signature using Notify Me or Stop Notifying Me option.
- Under Risk Management, find the relevant topics or settings to ensure best protection for your PC.
