To get the best out of Norton Family, ensure that you have the latest version of Norton Family application on all your devices in your account. You can update to the latest version at no cost as long as you have an active subscription. If your device is connected to the Internet, Norton Family checks for updates at regular intervals and can automatically update to the latest version. But if your device is not connected to the Internet for a long time or if you had automatic-update issues, use the following instructions to manually update Norton Family.
Your device must be connected to the Internet for Norton Family to update to the latest version.
Update Norton Family on Windows
- Sign in to your account.
- Select the child who uses this device.
- Click .
- Choose Windows and then click .
- Do one of the following:
- If you want to add this device to your account, select and then click .
- If you want to install Norton Family on another device, select , click , and then enter an email address to send a download link in an email. Open this link on the device on which you want to install Norton Family.
- Click or run the downloaded installer file.
Norton Download Manager will automatically install Norton Family on the device.
- Read the User License Agreement and then click .
The device gets automatically linked to your account.
- Click .
- In the assign device window, click next to the child to whom you want to assign this device.
- Click and choose the account that the child uses to log on to this device. If your child uses multiple user accounts, choose the child on all those user accounts.
- Click > .
Update Norton Family on Android
- Tap the Google Play Store app.
- Tap Menu and then tap My apps & games.
- Find the Norton Family parental control app and then tap Update.
Update Norton Family on iOS
- Tap the App Store app and then tap Updates tab on the right-bottom of the screen.
- Under Pending Updates, look for Norton Family parental control notification and then tap .
