Scenario: Error “One or More Update file downloaded is corrupted prompts while updating.

Steps to follow:

  1. Verify the “Downloads” folder under “C:Program FilesK7 ComputingK7TSecurityUpdatesDownloads“ is accessible
  2. If it is accessible, delete all the files in “Downloads” folder in K7 directory from Safe mode. (Do not delete the folder)
  3. Restart system in normal mode and update K7.
  4. If Downloads folder unaccessible, restart the system in safe mode
  5. Under C: prompt type command “attrib –h –r –s –a /s /d”
  6. Once completed, click on Start > run > Type cmd > Type CD and hit Enter
  7. Type command chkdsk /f
  8. Restart system in normal mode and try updating the K7 product.
