How do I purchase a new McAfee subscription?

If you prefer to purchase online through the McAfee website:

  1. Go to home.mcafee.com.
  2. Mouse over Products.
  3. Select the product that you want to purchase.
  4. Click Buy Now.
  5. Verify that the product in your cart is the product that you want to buy.
  6. When prompted, type your personal information and confirm your purchase.
After you have completed your purchase, follow the prompts to register for a McAfee account on home.mcafee.com. You can log on to this website and download all of your software purchases at any time. You can also access printable copies of your purchase information from the Products and Subscriptions tab.

Why does a credit card error message appear when I try to purchase a McAfee subscription?
If you receive errors when trying to purchase from McAfee online, verify that the billing information you entered is the same as what is on your card and billing statement.

Ensure that the following information is correct:

  • Credit card number
  • Credit card expiration date
  • Name of cardholder (as printed on the card)
  • Billing address (as printed on the credit card billing statement)

If you require a receipt for a McAfee online service purchase as proof of purchase for a rebate or any other reason, you can print your purchase history.

Log on to your McAfee account and print your Purchase history:

  1. Open a web browser and go to home.mcafee.com.
  2. Log on with the email address and password you registered with.

    NOTE: If you want the McAfee website to remember your user name, select Remember Me.

  3. Mouse over My Account and select Subscriptions.
  4. Click Purchase history to see the invoice history of the product you purchased.

    You can print this page for your records.

If you are unable to get a copy of your receipt, contact Customer Service.
