Malwarebytes Privacy protects your internet activity by connecting with private servers around the world. When you turn on Malwarebytes Privacy, the application encrypts your internet traffic to increase privacy and security.
Under the ON/OFF toggle, your connection status is displayed.
- Your connection is public. This means that Malwarebytes Privacy is OFF.
- Connecting… Malwarebytes Privacy is establishing a connection with a private server. You see this message briefly when you switch the toggle ON.
- Your connection is private. This means that Malwarebytes Privacy is ON.
When Malwarebytes Privacy is on, the number of items in the Bypass VPN list displays. When Malwarebytes Privacy is off, the number of items in the Require VPN list displays. For more information, see Connection rules in Malwarebytes Privacy for Windows.
