- Windows 10 compatibility issues with ESET products due to the Windows 10 May 2019 update
Solution
Windows 10 Compatibility with ESET home products
The Microsoft Windows 10 May 2019 update (also known as 1903) may affect the performance of your ESET product depending on the version of your ESET product.
Version 10.1 and later: If your ESET product is version 10.1, 11 or 12, you do not need to make any changes. Your ESET product is fully compatible with the Windows update.
If you are not sure which ESET product version you are using, learn how to check it here.
Version 9.x: If your ESET product is version 9, your product will remain functional, but it is not compatible with the Microsoft Windows update and you should upgrade to a more recent version of ESET. Visit our article for instructions to upgrade your ESET product to a more recent version.
Version 8 or earlier: Your product will be blocked and will be non-functional after the Microsoft Windows 10 upgrade. You will need to install a new version of ESET on your computer. Click the appropriate link to install your ESET Windows home product:
Windows 10 Compatibility with ESET business products
The ESET product versions listed here are compatible with the Windows 10 May 2019 update. However, we strongly recommend that you upgrade to the latest ESET product version.
Windows Vista Users
As of April 11, 2017 Microsoft Vista customers stopped receiving security updates, hotfixes etc. from Microsoft. If you are using an ESET product on a computer with Microsoft Vista, Microsoft will begin to enforce their End-Of-Life policy for Vista. Your ESET product will no longer be able to update the Detection engine or any product modules. In order to stay protected, you will need to upgrade your computer’s operating system to a more recent version.
