Internet connection – last error: 12007 (K7 computing)

Scenario: Error code 12007 prompts while updating and fails to update.

Steps to follow:

  1. Check for an active internet connection.
  2. Verify whether any Invalid proxy is configured under Internet Explorer >Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings.
  3. Verify and remove if invalid proxy details configured in installed K7 product. Open the K7 product and click on Updates > Configure Updates > Access Internet Through proxy Server.
  4. Remove the proxy details and try updating K7.
  5. If the issue persists, Open command prompt and type in tracert updates.k7computing.com. Check if the trace completes successfully. If unsuccessful Verify the internet connection or try updating using alternate Internet connection.
  6. If trace output completes successfully, run Proxy Enable fix tool, which can be downloaded from below URL and try updating K7.
